Gavin Coopey: 
Social Compliance Manager

Gavin is a senior consultant with a broad range of experience from a long career in the not-for-profit sector developing corporate partnerships with some of the world’s leading consumer brands. Having worked in multiple international markets he has a clear understanding of public attitudes towards social compliance and has managed partnership programmes for a number of organisations.

As Corporate Partnerships Manager at Comic Relief, Gavin was responsible for developing the Red Nose products for two hugely successful events. Working with corporate partners to develop high quality Red Nose merchandise was when he first worked on supply chain issues. Whilst at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund he built on this experience to develop social compliance standards for international licensing partners working in the European, US and Japanese markets.

Gavin’s last role in a charity was as Development Director at Cancer Research UK - Britain’s leading charity – with responsibility for Innovation and Brand management as well as leading their Corporate Partnerships program.

Gavin, works as a strategic consultant and is based in Sydney Australia. Since 2006 has been responsible for developing and managing the Louis Kennedy Social Compliance programme; working with our partner suppliers and Verite in South East Asia. He also advises not-for-profits and companies on marketing, communications and corporate responsibility.
