Asda and The Garden Gang

The objective: evoke healthy eating in children, while driving sales of own-label fresh produce.

The know-how: Garden Gang existed as a brand in its own right; Louis Kennedy’s brainchild was bringing the exciting fruit and vegetable characters to life both in-store and in-pack by creating a family of 3D collectable figurines. Louis Kennedy provided concept, creative, merchandise and all associated in-store PR activity and POS.

The results: promoting own label on this scale was groundbreaking. Children were motivated by the characters and their collectability, parents were delighted at their children being encouraged to eat healthy produce and Asda realised substantial and sustained category growth.
